This was taken in Dublin to promote the yet to be released ‘American Idiot’ album. I had to shoot a front cover for one of the guitar magazines and the idea of Billie Joe Armstrong posing with a guitar seemed so cheesey and definetely not at all punk. \u00c2\u00a0I wanted Billie to look completely uninterested on the cover and I had the idea to get Billy\u00c2\u00a0chewing on bubble gum and stretching it towards the lens to avoid him having to hold the guitar at all. I expected this to be a difficult shoot but like all good ideas the simplest work the best and Billie was so easy and co-operative throughout the session.<\/p>\n

The finished \u00c2\u00a0print is in the style of a screen print with several block overlays over the original image through a dot mesh.Stricty limited to only 50\u00c2\u00a024″ x 20″ prints.<\/p>\n

Professionally printed on 330g Giclee Fine Art Paper (100% Cotton, Acid Free), Personally signed and numbered by the photographer with certificate of authenticity. Digital watermark is not on the finished print.<\/p>\n
